Our Second Nature walked into my life this summer, and I fell hard. I have three different looks of their lovely pieces to showcase for you all, and was going to put them in one post, but I just loved this set of images (captures by Lydia Toll) so much that I gave it it's own little blog home. Oh well. Other ones to come soon!
Anyway, I really love this brand. I quoted their mission statement below, and truly these clothes breathe exactly what the designers aim for. It's so stunning.
This skirt: I have paired it with tanks, t shirts knotted, sweaters, sweaters knotted... it seamlessly aligns with my wardrobe. I love going for unique, but still softer items and this skirt won my heart and my closet checklist. I've seriously been on the hunt for a lightweight high waisted skirt (and this is like WAY high too- PRAISE). I wear a little slip under but you don't really need one.
This crop top: Such a dainty, lovely piece. The boxiness is quite flattering and provides a feminine/minimalist silhouette. Since my torso is super long, I literally have to wear the highest bottoms I own to rock it- which is so fun. I also love that you can see a little midriff.. the perfect combo of cute and classy without it being too scandalous. Ps my mantra that defined my look in college was "slightly scandalous, but not really." Sometimes it still applies. 😏 I am going to layer a turtleneck with this in these colder temps! I am a huge advocate of all-season clothing- of course there will be items that HAVE to be for summer or HAVE to be just for winter, but I strive to have the majority of what I own be versatile.
Please take a look on their website and find something for yourself. You will not regret it. These are some staple pieces that will live on from season to season.
